Hi Valueman, This reply to Viasat's abstract from a smart-antenna team: The discussion in the abstract you sent is very similar to most of the research that has been going on for some time in the cellular adaptive array field. Interference cancellation most often involves multiple receive antennas, but can also involve interference suppression with multiple antennas at the transmitter or interference suppression with time domain or frequency domain techniques with single antennas at the receiver. There are several dozen companies that have been working on various technologies that would fit under the umbrella of the abstract you sent. petere
