SI is rather like the wild frontier..in the development stages, anything goes, they are needed, and the city people can't hack it. After settlement, the "good" folks chase off the wild and wooly ones with their cityfied ways and word police. However, the crooked businessmen get to stay, they can fornic@te people as long as they do it "nicely", and wear a suit.

Osprey and all,

The rather public falling out between Mr. Metals and Dan Smith is based on a personal dispute which has spilled over on to S.I.

Before you add Mr. Metals to your rogues gallery, I would hope you base your decisions on more than some angry posts from an individual investor.

Speaking from my own experience, sometimes IR people get involved in deals that go sour through no fault of their own. Junior mining stocks are pure speculative investments, and many of them are outright scams, or over promoted. Even most "legitimate" deals disappoint because economic mineral deposits are actually very rare and not that easy to find.

Mr. Metals was certainly not the "operator" behind Golden Eagle, and he perhaps should be reprimanded for poor judgment, but he was not responsible for the alleged scam.

Mr. Metals through Gold Ridge has been contracted by Emgold to do some investor relations, namely report writing and mass E mailing. Emgold is a legitimate company with good mining people behind it. Excerpts from Goldridge's report were published today in the Canaccord Morning Coffee.

I agree with you guys exposing scammers, however, Mr. Metals ain't one of them.

best wishes

purething

I knew his identity and was always wary of his pumps - I have one of those email when he was opumping AMS - they were going to do that Moose river deal a few months ago.
