Thall, define or defile? Small local pols can be at either end of the spectrum depending on their peer group. You get places where "Boss Hogg" owns the town and others that are Athenian in their simplicity. I think most are closer to Athenian. The Hoggs are pretty much an endangered species, what with education and communication being so much better than the 30's where many were disenfranchised by ignorance. So what were you as a local pol and why leave the gravy train? Too much work too little pay when you are honest? Bill
