Before today's news, the dividend yield was .7%. What is the yield on a share price of 35.5? Bay shareholders watched Bay come back from 21.5 to 37 in about 3 months. What are the chances of that happening to this stock? We still don't have any news on how much earnings are affected. Maybe this is panic selling and we could get a good rebound. I also wonder whether BCE will view this as an opportunity to buy back stock.

CTV News is reporting that Nortel will take a big writedown in Brazil. Wonderful isn't it? Hold an analyst meeting and give the impression that you are going to be giving a positive outline of the future, and then whack them in the head with a 2 by 4.
