I think that earnings estimates for all of 1999 will be coming down strongly, overall. In the S&P for example. Analysts will hear lots of caution in the 3rd Q CC's, overall.

Agree strongly that stock picking will do better than indexing from here on out. For a year or two, anyway.

Skip Paul, I agree. QCOM should easily exceed $.50 for Q4. We should see significant improvement in Infrastructure division. Hand set revenues should also see a nice increase due to improved production yield and Q-phone mix. Margins from comm systems revenues should cover all of Q's operating expenses. I think they are setting up for a very good fy99.

I believe Q will finally begin to develop some earnings momentum and confidence which will be refreshing in this market. FWIW.
