This model is appropriate only for inflationary environment, it is not, I repeat NOT appropriate for near zero inflation and is way off base for a deflationary environment. It would give you Nikkei expected p/e = 120 now, whereas it is ~ 30 and going down. It would give DAX/CAC expected p/e - 35, whereas they are under 20 and going down ... It assumes risk = zero.
