Microsoft - PE of 67, JMAR - PE of 21. Of course that means little in today's market where Internet stocks with no earnings go to the Moon, and solid companies with good earnings go nowhere. I'm willing to make a friendly wager that a year from now JMAR will have made a larger percentage gain than MSFT, however, I'm not willing to bet money on it. Where MSFT is concerned, anything could happen.

I will also take the wager and hope that I get the pat on the back in 365 days. Times are changing for JMAR. In the past when it hit near $5 the business did not back up the price. Now we are looking at the potential of all 4 businesses kicking in next year. The Tech group has been underwater since November of last year. A turnaround should be just around the corner. Why would you want to pay higher prices, when JMAR is buying at around the $2 level. Microsoft is not buying back its shares. This is a golden opportunity (IMO).

As a bonus, if JMAR does complete the XRL demonstration units next year, people will start to really take this company seriously and look ahead 2-3 years and buy on those prospects. That is what I ascertained from what the Merrill Lynch analyst on the conference call was trying to find out. I believe that he smells the potential there.

You bet I'll take the wager. I like the kind of friendly wager where we both win when JMAR goes up ;^)
