I think part of the reason for the recent amazing stock price decline is that the consensus for 1999 EPS has dropped from 26 cents to 22 cents: quicken.excite.com I remember back in the good old days when the estimate for 1998 was 30 cents. Now the analysts don't even think that will be possible in 1999. It would be interesting to know why the consensus has dropped. Perhaps it's just because of the very undertain outlook for the global economy. 22 cents next year would be a reasonably lackluster performance. I wonder if ODIS management offered any guidance to the analysts who downgraded?
