I agree, mmeggs, but as to your statement "all bets are off when you get into court, especially when a jury is involved," I don't believe that patent trials are conducted before a jury but rather a federal judge. Under the constitution, the right to trial by jury only applies to matters that would have been tried before a jury at common law. Maybe there is a patent litigator out there who knows for sure.

I am going to email the company and see if Qcom will tell me when the Ericy suit goes to trial. If memory serves me correctly, it's this month. I was hoping to be able to find some time to attend at least part of the trial.
