Big D,

Because toughness on crime, fiscal responsibility & effective international policy have always been high on my priority list when voting, I was charmed by Pres. Reagan & Mr. Bush - two fine Americans.

Today's right wing is oozing with self-righteous, hatred-filled, pompous hypocrites. IMO, this more than anything else, is the reason Colin Powell has so far declined to run for the Presidency. He is caught between the conservative philosophy of the Repub. party that used to be and the searing, ugly venom that those who are pulling the party strings today espouse.

It would be sweet justice, if Mr. Powell accepted an invitation to run as the Democratic candidate for the next Presidential election. He would leave the hatemongering, mudslingers in his dust.

Ann

Bible Shows That Jesus Christ Is A Right Winger

After carefully studying the requirements to be judged a moral person, as defined by Judeo/Christian doctrine, and postulated by Jesus in his teachings, the undeniable conclusion is that He was a right winger.

Since anyone who says the same things today, and encourages others "to try" to live up to those standards are called religious fanatics, right wingers, etc. means that Jesus was one ,too.

What a shame. All along we thought He just wanted us to aspire to be better.
