Les, Im with you on entitlements.... I really want them gone, and I dont like the fact that the dems wont get rid of them. But I have no real evidence that the republicans have the courage to do so either. And I know the republicans are in bed with the frightening RR - so, I go with the moderate dems and hope for the best. If I had some real evidence that the republicans were going to get rid of SS and medicare I might hold my nose and vote for one of them, despite their leanings towards the RR. But Im not going to get anywhere close to those animals in the RR for nothing. So there you have it. Do you have any examples where the republicans showed real courage in totally dumping medicare/SS? Because Reagan was the one who raised the SS taxes so high last time did he not? Michelle
