Thanks. I think Iridf will drag down Lor and Gstrf even from these depressed levels before long.

I have long thought that given it's costs, and attendant pricing, Iridf was a poor bet. I think in the developing psychological environment, expansive proving of higer managers with world phones will occur less than hoped for, particularly with G* phone and service prices.

All that is even aside from real issues as to whether Iridf's service is even going to be able to be made to work well. Given their decision to place a lot of the switching in the birds, they're going to have serious problems if uploadable software can only go so far in improving switching defects.

But even assuming the issues in par. 2 disappear, it really looks like I* is going to have a slow start. Given their fairly high profile advertising on CNBC and elsewhere, that could spell no good at all for their stock from the period of say Dec. through mid 99. (After that who knows?)

That will of course not do G*, or Lor, any good at all. The very survival of the industry will be called into question.

That could create a truly fabulous G*/Lor buying opportunity sometime early next year.

Crystal ball gazing, I know.
