The answer to your question about the crazy TICK number can be found in the activities of the RUT stocks starting at 3:35 pm (359.50) until the close 363.60. It has been a non stop buy affair for 25 minutes with most smaller stocks on both NYSE and NASDAQ. In my opinion, this is simply window dressing because of end of quarter reporting and all that nonsense will disappear tomorrow morning at the opening. NASDAQ will be hit the worst.
