DTLN will inevitably trade in the single digits.

Now Bill, I hardly think you could call me a shill. I politely asked you for factual evidence that would support your "single digits" prediction on DTLN. You provided none, just more smoke.

Where do you get your "fraud" statements? I don't think Salomon Smith Barney would be in Omaha playing around unless they had legitimate prospects. Tell us Bill, what do YOU know that we don't? How do you KNOW that the company is fraudulently promoting itself? Do you know for a fact that there are no prospective buyers in the wings? You don't, you are just making that assumption. Remember Bill, I asked for factual explanations behind your short rec, not hot air. Unless you know the bankers at Solly who are working on this deal, you have no way of knowing whether there is legitimate interest behind this deal.

We've already established that you cannot properly read an income statement--your analysis of the advertising revenue still makes me laugh to this day. So I am curious as to how you are so convinced that this thing trades in single digits.

Let me "school" you on a few other things. First of all, the satellite was not DTLN's, it was owned by PanAmSat. Last time I checked, Pan Am was a publicly traded company (Nasdaq--SPOT). Think back to when this satellite went down, do you not remember several other broadcasters, paging systems, quote providers, etc., being down the days following when this satellite went awry? I assure you, it was pretty big news. So you can hardly blame the satellite misfortunes on DTLN. Again, I'm surprised you didn't turn this up in your due diligence. Yes Bill, satellites sometimes do go awry. When they switched satellites, the dishes did indeed have to be re-adjusted. Have you ever installed and aimed a DirecTV satellite? I have, and it's not something that is easy to do without the proper signal strength equipment. The fact that they had to send people out to adjust the receiving equipment doesn't surprise me, nor should it have surprised you, had you done your DD.

Furthermore, satellite-based transmission is the wave of the future. Ever heard of two guys named Craig McCaw and Bill Gates? These two guys are investing hundreds of millions of dollars into a venture called Teledesic, which will in essence be a worldwide satellite-based information system. That said, I would have to believe that DTLN, being satellite-based, is in some pretty good company. Now, if you'd care to argue that you know more than Gates and McCaw, well...I'd be glad to hear your thoughts on that matter.

Now Bill, I am not bold enough to say that you will be proven wrong on your prediction. For all we know, no buyer will materialize. Then again, a deal might be announced shortly. Only time will tell which one of us is ultimately right on DTLN. However Bill, let's face it--you have no more insight into this deal than an outsider like myself has. That said, it is ludicrous for you to blow smoke, claiming that DTLN mgt is spreading fraudulent lies. I wanted to see if you actually knew your stuff on DTLN, or if you were just parroting something you had read on Herb Greenberg's Street.com column last month. Your baseless, ambiguous answers satisfied my curiosity--Polly wanna cracker?

Good luck,

Gary

Bill,

I took a look at DTLN this morning and based on it's free cash flow, my opinion is that the company is not significantly overvalued. With no new customers, the business appears to be worth $200 mm (net of debt). Granted, they did not grow their customer based last Q but this condition would have to continue to negatively impact the value of the existing customer base. I would be interested in any thoughts you have.
