This from the CEO. Now, who is confused?

Stuart.

Roth labels the stock's demise due to confusion on the part of
security analysts. I am not a fan of security analysts but, given the
magnitude of the drop of our stock price, Roth can't expect
shareholders to believe that the analysts are the only ones to
blame. Is Roth so utterly arrogant?

The reaction of the analysts to the Nortel Networks new brand and how Unified Networks is differentiating our offer to customers was positive. We will continue to see our business strengthen. We also believe firmly that the Nortel-Bay merger is working and that we
will continue to see positive response from customers. We need
to continue to meet the financial goals we have set for the
year by doing our part to make certain that we meet or better
our budgets. I'm confident we can do that.

I doubt you can be any more clear than this.

I was told yesterday NN will meet analysts expectations and I can only conclude today's weakness has to do with the global climate, the unease of NT's earlier ---- misunderstood --- comments, and on FORE's pre-announcement.

I think of Churchill's statement, "Dictators ride to and fro upon tigers which they dare not dismount. And the tigers are getting hungry." In this case uninformed analysts being the dictators and truth the tigers.

Truth will prevail, though we may have to wait longer than we hoped to see the results.
