Ramsey,

Now that the economy is failing, he is going to be nailed on a cross before he does his "I am in deep thought" blink blink act.

It's hard to say that the US economy is failing. The rest of the world has some serious problems, but I don't think you can blame them on Alan Greenspan. Or if you think AG somehow caused the Asian recession, I'd like to hear your reasons.

Unless the economic cycle has been repealed, US economu is due for a slowdown.

Joe

RS - **** G *****

The discussions on the Hill were great. The politicians looked as if they had seen a ghost and gave G a good going over. I wonder of he took it to heart or just blew it off. What he should have done is more than 1/4% ....much more maybe 2% now and more to come and got the Europeans to follow and if they didn't well then on behalf of the US he should tell them straight those that don't join in won't be helping. I hope they call him up to the Hill daily and remind him that millions of people are about to lose their dreams if he doesn't get it right.

Well we now at least have reached the point that if Mr G, Mr R, The President, Mr Brown and Mr Schroeder don't actually DO something early this week then we are going into free fall and with the worst crash/slump in history.

They have literally got a couple of days to act:
no talk this time
no more prevaricating
no 1/4% cut in interest rate
no fancy explanation
no more excuses
no more meetings up on the Hill

just plain old action and big enough action to halt the biggest slump in history which should have been adrressed a month or more ago as soon as it really started to get bad.

If we don't get that action early this week it is then only a matter of time before a G7 bank goes bust and that is the beginning of the real bad news which we haven't even begun to see yet.

I have no real feel as to whether Mr G will do what is needed so its a bit like wating befire a hurricane and not knowing whether it will be bad or pass by or what.

Best of luck to all,

Sauve Qui Peut,

L
