Well......EL,
not sure how to answer that one....and I remember the instance to which you are refering. The one that hit us like a freight train in January. You may be right, that could have been in the quiet period. Perhaps they are not allowed to make any press releases during the quiet period. Someone else may know more than me.....

What is the protocol about the quiet period?
Is the company allowed to provide "unofficial" guidance when directly questioned?
My impression was that no guidance was allowed within 30 days of earning filings.

EL..Did you or anyone else catch Herb Greenberg ripping CPQ and the pending SEC investigation on the write off related to the Digital acquisition? It is in Thestreet.com today if anyone has access to it.
