<a sell-off that causes the VIX to shoot up>

I love your optimism. VIX is at 46; this is too low for you?

<somehow it is when that happens that I end up doing something stupid -- call it recklessness, cockiness>

I know that feeling. I try to guard against it all the time. After I mentioned what my numbers were like for August and September I decided to to be far more careful. Perhaps that caution cost me 15 points on Globex last night. But in any event, I tend to get more deliberate if I've been doing well.....built in experience from getting a gunslinger attitude after a few good trades in the past.

Never had interest in Gold. The low premiums in the options should tell you something.I don't know what they are now, but when I listened to others talk about Gold in the past I would look at the option pricing and just scratch my head; it never looked as if there would be anything going on as the volatility was not there to suggest any sort of move.

But what do I know, metals are far outside my realm of experience.
