"... the stock bottomed when GSCO stopped selling and started buying at 22 3/8. I like to watch situations like this because more often than not I see the firm that issued the upgrade/downgrade buying into sell recs and selling into buy recs. That was not the case today as both MSCO and GSCO were selling heavily from the open."

Found this brief update from Solomon Smith Barney on PSFT today.
Probably issued to stop the bleeding, but was obviously ineffective.

I also saw that Merrill put out a brief "we see no major change in outlook"
announcement on PSFT, but I don't have the exact text.

Hopefully, the results will speak louder (assuming their good) than analyst opinions.
