Is it redundant to say, looking at today's action, that this is getting really ugly? We're now only about $2 over cash.

Thanks Gary. I've been in about a month or so, so you are in at a better price than I am.

Gary,

yeah I heard about the Fred Hickey mention of NOVL in his newsletter, on the NOVL thread. The big difference between these two companies, IMHO, is that NOVL has lots of cash, and a recent (18 months) CEO Eric Schmidt, who has the tecnological experience and prowess to steer Novell into the growing networking software, intra- internet business. He's refocused the companies disparate group of engineers to work on key technologies and strengths of the company going forward. In fact, they just released a very large upgrade of NetWare 5.0, with pure IP and many other features much to MSFT's displeasure and continued FUD =;-)

My brother mentioned to me to look at ADPT when it was trading at 22. I didn't want to touch it then, didn't want to touch it again after Barron's positive article by Eric Savitz (12-13 dollar range), and am still not sure if I would touch it now. Granted, it is very cheap and now at a 52-week low. I may dig deeper to find out a little more about their business, and business model. If their products (or new products) aren't current and leading edge, I'm not going to touch it. Also, does the company have any cash on hand?

TIA,

QuadK
