I don't know Dave.... I agree with you on the announcements and surprises aspect - but I cut that out a long time ago . Stopped paying attn to FA completely - except for whether or not they made money. TA was the liberating truth for me and I stopped following the news.... so much of it is just noise anyway. Guess that's what I like about the OEX - it's just reading the map... or the EKG - of the market.... charts CAN lie - but they don't do it nearly as often as FA <g>
