Gem: How do you tell if they are buys or sells? What if they are crosses or in line buy/sell trades. The mm's have some leeway on markups and markdowns, so IMHO, I dont think that you can determine what is going on. MM's could be inventorying stock over the weekend becacuse they have cash on hand, or someone could be selling and then buying in the same day, or it could be raining , like it is here. You will drive yourself nuts trying to figure this out because it is impossible to figure it out. Believe me, I've done it, and there are many tricks to the trade. Even the MM's sit around and speculate, but you can never put your finger on it unless you go in and do an audit of every MM in the stock AND the SOES traders. And who cares. The stock is going down.
