Guru Mohan: Rubin didn't say anything new. I think that this does not bode well for the G7 and IMF meetings. And if the Fed is planing emergency meetings this is also not a good thing. It seems like a little too late... Anyway ... I don't think that Rubin/Clinton have the legislative muscle to increase IMF funding in the short term. Long term resolutions will only come after a potential blood-bath in latin America ... (inertia and self preservation are always primary ... no one takes real action until it really starts to hurt and the US is not hurting so far.) Regards Rif
