Its still not over! We will continue to see extremely low commodity prices over the next 8-10 months. The currency crisis that has developed will cause a global economic slowdown of significant proportions in 1999. My original forecast was for a $290.00US gold close for 1998. The currency crisis has changed that! The only safe bet at the moment is gold and gold stocks! My new prediction for gold is a $315.00-$320.00US close for 1998. If currencies continue to fluctuate wildly, then we have a great possibility of hitting $400US gold by end first quarter 1999. Some junior and mid-cap gold stocks have not reacted as well as the Seniors have, as a result watch for Barrick/Placer/Newmont to start a "undervalued" junior/mid-cap hostile takeover buying spree!!

Continuing with my bird-brain predictions!!
