To be honest, aps I dont think Oracle can muscle anybody out of psft. If you look at Oracle vs Psft just at the pure product level psft is much stronger. However, I think that the Oracle apps division was so poorly managed in the past that they didnt get maximum revenue out of the customers they do have (and they have a lot from the early 90s). So, I think the apps biz could improve at Oracle without taking mkt share away from anybody.

Ive said before that I think psft is the best of the erps and I think Sap is quite weak right now. There is a backlash against the Sap monolithic architecture + the product line is just too expensive in this climate.... now, apparently Sap has addressed this judging from recent PRs. But if they havent, then the mid-range Sap installations are bait for Oracle or Psft takeovers. Thats my opinion, fwiw Im not a Sap fan - just a disclaimer.
