Well I checked ADPT on yahoo's company profile section. They have $6/share cash. But this doesn't mean its necessarily a "buy". One other company I'm also looking at more seriously is VLSI technology. It has $6.86/cash, Book value = $12, and current price of $7 5/8s. In other words, you are only paying $1/share for the companies technology and fabrication plants. Kind of gives me some perspective to use in judging ADPT's future.

Regards,

QuadK

That's the latest figure I've seen. March 31, 98, cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities totaled $697 mil. Shares outstanding 114 mil. Cash/marektable securities per share, $6.11. Haven't looked at numbers since then, but I don't think they've blown a substantial amount of cash. They did do some stock buy-back, but I don't know how many shares for how much money. Others may be more up on the figures.
