bb,, 8300,, what could possibly get them back up there ??I think they just about blew their wad today. Bear market rally ,, fast and big,,Almost 300 points in a couple of hours... Friday afternoon short coverig and window dressing is what most of it was IMHO..

Boby, I am not as optimistic as you are even that based on recent volatility 8300 is 2 days away.

From my previous post you can see that I anticipated this short rally, due to oversold condition and bearish sentiment.

I am convinced that they will provide a credible financing package in place for Brazil, and we will rally.

On the other hand the utility indexes are making new highs (DJU and NYUI which is much broader) so some theories are in questions.

As far as transports are concerned aside from the load factor which is still very high, the financing cost - e.g. interest rates are low, so on this one I must admit I am confused.

The Value Line index looks like made a double bottom and the market is expecting a new rate cut after Friday's unemployment report.

Short term mildly bullish short term as not all of Clinton's trouble may not be in the market.
