However, I seriously doubt that the majority of people associated with the religious right would do anything violent or would abuse someone else's property or rights. That is most likely true. Now. The trouble is I think the moderation is importantly the result of the moderating influences of the wider society and the fact that they are not being given their heads. People acting in a sense of absolute religious certainty, outside of the complications of secular compromise, have committed some really awful attrocities. I'll even say that I think that's the way it usually goes, whenever certainty and zealotry become totally committed, and overtake a majority of any people. Doug
