Comparing ORCL to PSFT, for example, ORCL trades at 3.5 times sales while PSFT trades at 5.2 times sales, both have high earnings (about 13-14% of revenue) that seem solid. But PSFT is still growing MUCH faster than ORCL 25% vs. 50%. I KNOW these are not apples to apples, but these businesses are all converging to software-and-integration product / service combination companies, and ORCL seems expensive if it is only going to grow revenues at 28% (1 -> 1.3 ->1.7 for last three q1's) with shrinking margins... I won't buy either until after next quarter's numbers are in. THe big orcl dive in dec-jan took six weeks to begin moving back up, so I will watch psft patiently...
