It's unclear to me that this implies that ORCL is overvalued -- maybe
PSFT is just undervalued... My gut feeling is that ORCL should be at
about 30 in the current market, and the reason that it isn't is lack
of confidence in their ability to produce new products. If 8i is
successful enough to restore that confidence, then I think that ORCL
should move up. I don't know enough about PSFT to have an thoughts
about where it ought to be.

I also think that MSFT is overpriced (that's why I so cleverly sold
out at 85), because I believe that their O/S products and strategy
have severe structural flaws. However, I thought corresponding things
about IBM and DEC for years before they crashed, so these beliefs
(even when correct) don't seem to help me much at picking stocks.

And I can't make any sense out of the internet stocks. I don't know
what model anyone uses to justify paying so much for AMZN, et al.
I do sometimes regret not taking the job I was offered when AMZN had
only 20 people, though...
