Nothing to technically new about this patent. Its the same thing as a preheater for an IC engine in freezing cold temps of for water pipes. Your just heating up the equipment before use.

I wonder if this is idea is even patentable since it is already in
wide spread use for other pieces of equipment.

Thanks for the link. I'm not an expert in this area, but the problem is not solved. I can imagine folks spending an hour or so trying to get their fuel cell vehicle started on a cold January morning with such a patent implementation. I think people complain about the time needed to get a diesal engine running -- which will be a far shorter duration of time.

This problem is not solved. And a patent is far from a real solution until the specs are given. What is the start-up time? 1 hour?
