They have plenty of working capital and can hold out for a couple of years. Is there
a trigger that will cause the stock to suffer?>>

Working capital is all from Stock Sales. With no sales(50k).
and a market cap approaching $100mil. I have a feeling that
the rats beyond this scam, will do what all thieving rats do.
Grab the money before one of the other rats(partners) does.
This strategy has worked for me before.

Sure is a Nice Day

Doug,

I have been a long term investor in REFR for a number of years and would urge you to call the company so you don't fall into this guy's trap. He must have gotten a margin call for his short position when the stock went up 12.5% on Friday. We've been dealing with these short sellers for a number of years. The "hype" he prints is a note from an investor Ron who went on Yahoo boards because he got sick of the shorts hitting the stock. Evidently the shorts have gotten nervous of late as the stock is showing some strength. We are starting to get inundated with notes on Yahoo and SI slamming the company.

Truth is Ron's "hype" is not far from the truth. Product(s) are imminent, the company plans to sign an agreement with a top-tier automotive supplier this year (and that doesn't leave many months). Do your own due diligence.

Doug,

I just noticed that you live in San Diego. Material Sciences is located there. You may want to give them a call and ask for Graeme Fairley. He is head of the project that will be developing SPD film. He believes the 1% estimate of revenues (this would mean 100MILLION in revenue to REFR) is conservative. Also check out the recent news from MSC in which they announce the scale up to full production runs of SPD. One of our long term shareholders Lawrence Smith, a pilot for Southwest is good friends with Fairley and gives us updates, I'm sure he could give you his number if you wish. He is on Silicon Investors, send him a private message. He owns 45,000 shares of REFR and is still buying.
