What causes a stocks to lose contact with fundamentals?

Might I suggest to you, it is when cults are formed about them by enterprises so enchanted with their own "noble purpose", that they believe whatever newsprint they themselves produce. One such investor influential enterprise, The Motley Fool (www.fool.comm, or TMF) last week threw a member (board posting alias maxx98) off this organization's rolls for suggesting TMF donate some ad space to charity. The unmitigated gall of this person to make such a suggestion!

The Motley Fool organization holds a real money portfolio with Amazon.com stock in it. The organization also feeds these stories directly to internet brokerage newsfeeds, and other news outlets.

I have no financial involvement with Amazon.com or its stock long or short now, and will not be involved with this stock again. I stand to bear no financial advantage in any way by providing my own observations, which you can choose to ignore or do otherwise with. I have made considerable money in the past shorting AMZN, and have never taken a loss on any transaction involving AMZN stock, and will not in the future try to gain financially from this mania stock.

This opinion of mine is observation is for what I believe to be the noble purpose of helping you perceive the oncoming aftermath of destroyed investor value that I have the unusually strong belief is going to follow this stock in the near future.

Time will bear out the wisdom (or lack thereof) of these words.

Good luck to all.

Well Jan, I certainly wish you great gains, not losses, and you appear to have done very well so far!
