I called it paranoid because you were running on about everything except the matter at hand, which is Clinton's current troubles. The other political situations you talked about have been resolved, and are not under debate anymore.

I think that is good that the first responses indicate that Democrats will accept Ford's proposal. It is not simple censure though, and will be more than a note in the Congressional record. It will be historically unprecedented, but I think it is appropriate. It would be a public verbal flogging, issued with the unanimous approval of the Congress. It should be conducted with some grandeur, occasion, and circumstance. I wonder who would speak the words: Henry Hyde, Newt Gingrich, or some other? Since Newt is the Speaker of the House, it would seem that the duty should fall to him, but Hyde is the Chair of the Impeachment Inquiry, and would be a better political choice. I don't think the Dems could swallow a verbal thrashing by Newt. -g-

We'll have to see what the Republican reaction to Ford's proposal is. It only came out in Sunday's (tomorrow's) paper.
