Aames looks more likely to survive than IMCC (From 19 3/4 to 1 5/8 is a breathtaking drop). AAM is seeking a strategic partner, as is UC. Hard to believe that these companies have fallen so far so fast (the FASB's threatened end of gain on sale accounting didn't help). Still, SOMEONE out of all of the "independants" has to survive this. I'll take a look at Contifinancial. Do you know anything about NABC?
