I wasn't going to post this but decided there is no reason not to post it. I sent an email to CHIP about a week ago asking what is happening with the gold properties. This is the response I received. I don't know why he says "production" because I really find it hard to believe that they are that far along. We'll just have to wait and see what develops. "Yes, we are currently working actively on both our California "desert sands" gold properties and a couple of more conventional projects elsewhere. Our intention is to announce the details when we have actual production from these properties,which should be sometime during next month (October)." Lewis Ball

However, its been at least a year since the last time I nibbled on CHIP's hook. <<I agree JV Web is a joke. I have no idea what the thinking was behind it.>> I think I have an idea. The JV Web investment was made at the height of the feeding frenzy on internet stocks. Maybe they thought an announcement they were in the internet business (while neglecting to mention their investment was for all of $5,000) would result in a feeding frenzy on CHIP stock?
