"Your thoughts are FA thoughts..." LOL, guess you don't know too much about TA, because it has never existed in a vacuum.

FA, TA, neural nets, probability are ALL just analytical tools, none of them predict the whole story because one of the functions of a complex market is that it constantly looks for inefficiencies. TA adherents, en mass, create their own contrary opportunities by responding to patterns in predictable ways (jumping at head and shoulders, violations of trend lines, etc)... you can see it in the market every day.

Technical analysis is a simplified, but often effective, class of tools and logic. It uses fairly simple input data of open, high, low, close, volume and time but the world of price prediction, trading and interpretation certainly doesn't end there.

Saying TA is the end all... is like saying simple geometry describes the universe.. sure it does, for someone living in the 12th century.
