KRN has already shown that his role is much more than ceremonial.

Hi JPR: I am doing fine, thanks for asking. My cousin's father-in-law taught Narayanan when he was a little boy back in Kerala.I was told the boy as not allowed to sit among others,he usually stood in the back of the class room or was allowed to sit only on the floor in the back or something like that. His folks didn't have any money to buy any books for the boy so my cousin's father-in-law helped him get books or bought some books for the boy himself. My cousin is in NJ and when Narayanan was the ambassador in the U.S (wasn't he?) he visited my cousin in NJ while his father-in-law (one of Narayanan's teachers from his boyhood) came for a visit.

The boy's experience seems so surreal, cruel and inexcusable and I am glad he overcame all that and became a resounding success and that should make anybody quite proud.
