Dan, have you read this Sun NY Times front page story yet? It's absolutely dynamite. (It is however really dense with information, and not very well written.) There really was a vast right wing conspiracy out to entrap Clinton. This makes it crystal clear. Tripp was out peddling her tapes all over house. The protecting herself cover story is an absolute crock, this makes abundantly clear. It was Goldberg and Tripp that tipped off the Jones lawyers to the Lewinsky affair, and Lewinsky and the President's intent to lie about it, or evade the truth. It seems abundantly clear that the Jones lawyers avoided follow up questions because perjury, or something close enough, was exactly what they WANTED to get. They didn't want to push him far enough to have to choose between flat out perjury and telling the truth. nytimes.com Doug
