bill....

you know how i have felt,
and i agree that it is remarkable
to feel a continuing [calm?/denial?]...
but surely, we are alone.

i can't explain it beyond noting it seems this lack
of alarm is a mirror of the world around us to date;
at least for now, a defiant deafness has characterized
the nonreaction to no less than a global
cacaphony.

>> What I worry about is that nobody is out here sharing our concerns... to me that is a NEGATIVE!!! <<

There is still little fear out there. Friday was a good day for the bulls when the DOW reversed course and ended up 250+ points from the lows of the day. G7 meeting put a damper on the momentum over the weekend but although futures are down slightly, they never reflect the open perfectly and we may see a small rally 30 minutes into the trading day. Think any rally will be sold into heavily though...

People were expecting some miracle to come out of the G7 meeting but did not take into account that these are the same finance ministers that have watched their economies sink. Every G7 country has their own problems to wrestle with and it was of dubious worth from the outset.

Brazil Bovespa will look for guidance from the USA market and will likely tank along with us if we falter, even with Cardoso still in power.
