Re: Your short-against-the-box strategy.

Assuming that you cover your short by year's end and keep your long shares, what are the ramifications on the "capital gains clock". In other word do you now have to hold it for another 18 months to get long-term gains treatment? Do you know if this has been IRS tested yet?

LoD,

I know you will never sell your stock.
Especialy as long as MD continues to tell investors how great everything is.

I have a question ?

If every thing is so great, then why did MD sell 4,000,000 shares through Goldman Sachs for $260,000,000 on Sep 24.

That was a good day to sell too.

That is a lot of money to be taking out of a company that fears nothing don't you think ?

Anyway,
Hope today was a good trading day

Jim
