Your point about there being no new data presented is well taken. Also somewhat reassuring is that MSFT is in the same boat and it is down only 3%. So why is CSCO down so much?

One point...
Although they present no new data, the drop in world markets and the possibility of a recession now impacting the US does not bode well for attracting and keeping talented employees via stock options. Should this bull market continue to change colors, CSCO and MSFT may both have to start using more cash and less stock to attract talented employees. If that happens, then operating expenses go up. Right?
And, with expenses heading up and markets contracting ...
