Not so. Look at the gap. 18 points gone. And Field implies that it occurred in a couple weeks, not the preceding months:

And remember, Clinton and cronies have benefited from a public that has been uninformed about the issues involved. Once they are informed the floor drops out from under him - that's why the Dems are using every diversion in the book.
