I guess you are assuming that the cdrw will elimante the need for zips and ls120 etc....if that is the case then i agree with you....but if, as i think they work together as you find in the dell model, then i see growth...its hard to stop the momentum of 16+mil. and growing....will either one elimante the floopy and become the standard....?..i think that the zip will be closer to the standard than anything else.....watch for big announcemetns from ibm soon...you heard it hear first.

These facts are now confirmed.<< Ken - It would be much more significant if it were true. Both Micron and Gateway are still selling large numbers of systems with Zip drives. In Micron's case, Zip is still a standard item on many systems. If Gateway has decided that it can make more money by selling Zips as add-ons, that only shows that they are using a different marketing approach than, say, Dell, which is steadily increasing the numbers of systems with standard Zip. - Allen
