Cramer on thestreet.com wrote an article on CMM today. He also said that this 'just happened' and the mgmt. didn't want to sell pools at a loss to meet the calls so they filed chap. 11. Either way, they should've issued a warning of some sort during the last month that the value of the port. had depreciated more than the shareholders fathomed. Rather than saying, 'oh yeah, we're comfortable with estimates and the div. will be paid'. They know that this type of news would send any stock plummeting.
