RE: HiFi!!!

Here is the actual Yahoo Press Release about HiFi:

biz.yahoo.com

Single HiFi disc $13.99.

Single HiFi discs undercut Zip discs on price and double the capacity. HiFi discs in a 10-pack will significantly undercut Iomega as well.

And then there is the very real and ugly possibility that Fuji will not renew the contract for its ATOMM technology to Iomega. This would force Iomega to possibly use Nomai's media- THE SAME MEDIA THAT IOMEGA PROVED IN LAB STUDIES DAMAGED ZIP DRIVES! These infected drives then infected other discs. Iomega is in a world of pain.

<<I hope this HiFD thingy finally ships so that we can get over with it ;-)

What good is it? The CD-rw is going to kill it anyways, no?

I mean if a 17 million installed base doesn't mean anything....
