Hello everybody,
Here's late word from Todd:

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I'm VERY busy, and I sincerely
regret not being able to contribute regularly to SI. Business at
TechTrends is very good, which is more than I can say for my stocks. Oh
well. I'm blown away at the severity of NOV's selloff, although much of
it is justified. It is exaccerbated by tax loss selling, margin calls,
etc. But I'm shocked that it hasn't bounced yet. I don't understand
NCES' trading, though. I don't see how their business is going to suffer
much, if at all, from NOV's problems. Perhaps, NCES is suffering because
it has the name NovaCare.

THQI has a bright outlook, and I think they'll beat estimates for the
next few quarters, as usual.

SMTC's Q3 won't be better than last year's. It won't even be close. I
expect $.16, which is even with Q2. Q4 should show sequential
improvement in sales and EPS. I think that the stock, while undervalued
on a long-term basis, is fairly valued on an intermediate-term basis. I
think there might be better buying opportunities for SMTC in the future.

Say hi to everyone for me.
I still hope to return, but I realize that I cannot hope to read all the messages I've missed. Is everyone aware that THQI is now a confirmed Dreamcast developer? I spoke with the company, and I suspect that the first game for Dreamcast for THQ will be WWF in 128-bit (by GameFX).

Take care.

Todd
