To All: Enough is Enough. We truly are moving dangerously close to expressing opinions that pertain to each other's religious beliefs. Perhaps it's time to take a deep breath and maybe just back off a bit. Yes I know there were many here who were offended by my contretemps with K, but that was at least remotely related to LSI. If people here wish to discuss Clinton, Starr, etc. there are many superior forums in the Silicon Investor's Coffee Shop. So I ask you this, have we changed the standards of lying to the American people in such a manner that lying about sex is more serious than lying about misuse of power and doing illegal actions that undermine the laws passed by the congress (as was the case in Iran-Contra affair), or When a republican president (namely President Bush) looks in the eyes of American people and asks them to read his lips and promises he would not raise their taxes, and then once elected he turns around and does it. When it comes to lying, show me one politician (Democrat or Republican) that has not lied. Heck even the self claimed savior of American society Ross Perot has lied through his teeth! It is absolutely hypocritical of us to say Clinton is a big liar and he is a bigger liar than the rest (who are trying to pass judgment on him lying about his sexual affairs)! you state: > So what if Starr's father was a preacher? Did you watch 60 minutes a couple of weeks ago when Andy Rooney attacked Clinton and judged his behavior based on who his father and mother were?! And that Clinton's behavior was due to his alcoholic father and his mother who married 5 times! And then the next day I heard a couple of Christian fundamentalists using the same tactic by judging Clinton based on who his parents were, and what his brother did, etc.! I think you misunderstood me. What I was trying to say was that how low can republicans get to the point that now they are attacking and using Clinton's dead parents to ruing him! But if expressing my opinion as what I believe to be "fair" makes me a Democrat (or heck even a dam* liberal Democrat) then so be it (and in fact you can say I am a fanatic liberal democrat). In any event, I think we have been misusing this thread to discuss politics and other matters. Unless we change the title of this thread to LSI is a Good Buy, and Lets talk about everything, I have a feeling many participant on this thread do not appreciate our discussion of non LSI issues.
