Alex,

I believe the negatives you cited have already been factored into the stock price. Intel was much more vulnerable to competition the past year than it is today. Intel is proving MP's are not the comodity many thought it was. AMD and NSM have not measured up. I think Inel will exceed expectations this qtr and next qtr.

As for corporations they will continue to upgrade. New computers running Windows 98 or NT are easier to manage and maintain and those costs are watched closely by corporations. Microsoft is pushing corporations to standardize on Windows NT.

I think Intel has bottomed out and will do well next year.

Dale

Alex - Re: " Has anyone seen any sign one way or the other regarding corp spending? "

i believe Intel has seen the sign - a positive one.

Why do you think they preannounced a positive 8 to 10% Revenue increase for Q3 ?

Right now, Intel's Q4 looks pretty solid and they seem to be running all their factories at full tilt.

How long this can last is anybody's guess if the rest of the world flushes itself down the toilet.
