txs for yr respons. however, rambus RDRAM's are already shipping and will ship in volume next year. the question is wether Cisco need more internal speed in their Network systems - which I think they do - and if so, are there any other alternatives besides Rambus. I see Rambus as broadband company and in that respect the Networking industry should be a potential market (actuall TI uses Rambus in its Thunderswitch)

But CSCO may looking into NOVL's directory services (NDS) software to manage large scale networks, as MSFT Active Directory is vaporware, and NDS is proven and here =;-).

BTW, nice Compaq buys Novell ad today in the WSJ. I think they may post a few more with the likes of DELL and IBM. CSCO better join the party soon, or they'll miss out!
